Quick start

  1. Install RedirectGuard from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Turn ON the "RedirectGuard 404 Tracker" app embed in your theme — this is the one required step to detect storefront 404s. (Deletions of products and collections are detected even without it.)
  3. Open the Dashboard to see broken pages ranked by traffic impact.
  4. Click Fix on a broken page to create a redirect. On Pro, RedirectGuard suggests the best destination automatically.

FAQ

Why aren't broken pages showing up? Make sure the "RedirectGuard 404 Tracker" app embed is turned ON in your theme (Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds). Product/collection deletions are detected without it, but live storefront 404s need it enabled.

What's the difference between Free and Pro? Free covers detection (up to 50 shown / 200 stored) and up to 5 redirects (manual + scheduled, combined) with 30-day history. Pro ($3/month) adds unlimited detection (up to 10,000 stored), unlimited redirects, up to 4 automation rules, smart destination suggestions, a weekly email report, and 365-day history.

How do automation rules work? (Pro) Auto-rules automatically redirect newly deleted products to a sensible destination (e.g. their collection) so you stay protected without manual work. You can enable up to 4 rule types.

How do I get the weekly email report? (Pro) Register and verify your email address in the Settings tab. We send a weekly summary so you stay protected even when you forget to check.

How is my data handled? See our Privacy Policy. We don't store your shoppers' personal data, IP addresses, or cookies.

How do I cancel? Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin, or downgrade to Free in the app. Billing stops per Shopify's billing policy.
